Sovereign Action LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the InkCapture mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Our Privacy Philosophy

InkCapture is designed with privacy at its core. All document scanning, OCR text extraction, image filtering, and document editing happens entirely on your device using Apple's native frameworks (VisionKit, Vision, Core Image). We never see, access, or store your scanned documents.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Fax recipient details: When you send a fax, we process the recipient's fax number to route the transmission. We do not store the content of faxed documents on our servers after delivery.
• Support inquiries: If you contact us at paulmattheww@gmail.com, we receive your email address and message content.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device identifier: A random device ID (Apple's identifierForVendor) is used to manage fax usage limits and subscription entitlements. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
• Fax metadata: We store minimal metadata about fax transmissions (recipient number, page count, delivery status, timestamps) for usage tracking and troubleshooting.
• Anonymous analytics: We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which features are used most). TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data, IP addresses, or device fingerprints. You can learn more at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Names, email addresses, or account credentials (no account required)
• Scanned document content or images
• OCR-extracted text
• Location data
• Contacts or address book data
• Browsing or search history

3. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver fax transmissions to the recipient you specify
• To enforce fair-use limits on fax services
• To manage subscription entitlements via Apple's StoreKit
• To improve the app through anonymous, aggregated analytics
• To respond to support requests

4. Third-Party Services

• Apple (StoreKit 2): Handles all subscription and in-app purchase processing. We do not see or store your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Sinch: Our fax delivery partner. When you send a fax, document data is transmitted to Sinch for delivery over phone lines. See Sinch's Privacy Notice.
• TelemetryDeck: Anonymous analytics. No personal data collected. See TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your scanned documents, OCR text, and signatures are stored locally on your device in the app's sandboxed storage. They are protected by iOS's built-in encryption and your device passcode.

Fax metadata stored on our servers is protected using industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our backend is hosted on Fly.io with PostgreSQL database encryption.

6. Data Retention

• On-device data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Fax metadata: Retained for up to 12 months for usage tracking and support purposes, then automatically deleted.
• Fax document content: Not stored on our servers. Transmitted directly to the fax gateway and discarded.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete all local data by uninstalling the app
• Request deletion of server-side fax metadata by emailing paulmattheww@gmail.com
• Opt out of analytics by disabling TelemetryDeck in your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

InkCapture is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
